Cookies Policy
What cookies joltkeys.com uses, what each one is for, and how you stay in control of them.
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. We use them to keep your basket working, to keep you signed in, and to understand how the store is used. This policy explains each category and how to switch the optional ones off.
1. Categories we use
Strictly necessary
These make the store function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They remember the contents of your basket, keep your checkout session alive, keep you signed in to your account and protect forms against abuse. Without them you cannot complete a purchase.
Functional
These remember choices you make — for example that the intro animation has already been shown during your visit — so the site behaves consistently.
Analytics
These help us count visits and see which pages are used, so we can improve the store. They are only set with your consent.
Marketing
These would be used to measure campaigns or show relevant offers. They are only set with your consent, and we do not use them for automated decision-making.
2. Cookies used on this site
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash | Necessary | Tracks changes to your basket | Session |
| woocommerce_items_in_cart | Necessary | Tells the store your basket is not empty | Session |
| wp_woocommerce_session_* | Necessary | Links your basket and order to your browser session | 2 days |
| wordpress_logged_in_* | Necessary | Keeps you signed in to your account | Session or 14 days |
| wp-settings-* | Functional | Remembers interface preferences | 1 year |
| jk_seen | Functional | Remembers that the intro animation was already shown (stored in your browser for the visit only) | Session |
If we add analytics or marketing cookies, they will be listed here and set only after you consent.
3. Managing cookies
You can delete cookies already stored and block new ones in your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this under Privacy or Settings. Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will break the basket and checkout.
4. Withdrawing consent
Where cookies are set on the basis of your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by clearing cookies in your browser or by writing to privacy@joltkeys.com.
5. More information
How we handle the personal data behind these cookies is described in our Privacy Policy.
